Legends of Football

Football is an amazing sport with amazing players with unique skills and abilities. The players who use their skills and abilities in the right way now have made their mark in the world's greatest sconce.

We all know the basics. Pele, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo have already been well known to this generation of fans and will always remain well known. But some stars rose so much to the top, people weren't even able to see them rise. What I'm trying to say, there are still some icons, living legends, and stars that are not well known to this generation of football fans.

Hendrik Johannes Cruijf known as Johan Cruijff, born 25 April 1947 in Amsterdam was a Dutch player and coach. He won the Ballon d'Or thrice in 1971, 1973, 1974. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in football history, yet not much well known. Cruijff led the Dutch to the final of the 1974 FIFA World Cup and received the Golden Ball.

He executed a final that subsequently was named after him, the "Cruijtt turn". He started the trend wearing the 14 number jersey. His remarkable clubs are Ajax and Barcelona. He died on March 24th, 2016 in the city of Barcelona, Spain (aged 68). He announced his retirement after the 1978 season.

Lev Ivanovic Yashin nicknamed the "Black spider or "Black Panther" was a Soviet player, considered by many as the greatest goalkeeper in the sports. He was known for his athleticism, positioning, mature, brave, imposing presence in goal, and acrobatic reflex saves. He was born on 22 October in 1929 in Moscow.

His only club was Dynamo Moscow, for which he had 326 appearances. Despite being a goalkeeper, Yashin earned a huge name and fame as a defender Coming out of the D-box from time to time al a tackling the attackers. His performances an impression on the global audience at the world cup 1958.

According to FIFA, Yashin saved over 150 penalty kicks and kept over 270 clean sheets in his career. He was the only goalkeeper to win the Ballon d'Or and he did it in 1963. He died on 20 March 1990 in the city of Moscow (aged 60).

He spent all 25 seasons of his career in Serie A with Milan in red, before retiring at the age of 2009. He won 26 trophies with Milan, UEPA Champions League 5 times, 7 Serie A titles, 1 Coppa Italia, 5 Supercoppa Italiana titles, 5 European Super Cups, 2 International Cups, and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

Maldini spent 14 years on the international scene before retiring in 2002 with 7 goals and 126 caps. Maldini holds the records for appearances made Italy's captain the armband 74 times, captaining 8 years. He reached the final of World Cup 1994 although he didn't win any tournament with Italy.

Maldini is widely regarded as one of the most career-oriented players. He Won several Best Defender trophies in different competitions. He became second to George Weah in FIFA World player of the year in 1995. He was given the nickname of Captain for his great leadership. Following his retirement in the 2008-09 season, his lifelong club retired his number 3 shirt, and in December 2012, he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, born on 3 October 1981 is a Swedish player who is a forward for LA Galaxy. Primarily a striker, he is a prolific goalscorer, who is best known for his technique, creativity, strong ability in the air, and his powerful and accurate striking ability.

He is currently the third-most decorated active footballer in the world. Having won 31 trophies in his career he scored over 500 goals for the country. He has played for Malmo FF, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan (on loan and then completely transformed), PSG, Manchester United and Is currently dominating the MLS with LA Galaxy. At Ajax Ibrahimovic gained a regulation as one of the most promising forwards in Europe, and departed two years later to sign for Juve.

Then he went on to join the rivals of the Milan in Red. Inter Milan is also known as Internazionale, where he was named in both the UEFA Team of the year 2007 and 2009. In the summer of 2009, he moved to the Catalonian giants Barcelona. He returned to Milan in 2010-11 but this time joining the rivals of his previous Milan team, AC Milan. He then joined PSG in July 2012.

He was an amazing class player for Sweden winning Guldbollen (the Golden Ball) given to Swedish player of the year, a record of 11 games, and one of the best footballers of his generation. His bicycle kick for Sweden against England (worth to be seen in the video then explained in words) won the 2013 FIFA Puskas Award for the goal of the year. He is still dominating the competition with style and is making it look easy for him.

Gaining Buffon known as Gigi Buffon born on 28 January 1978 is an Italian goalkeeper who currently plays for PSG but had his golden age in Juventus.
He is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time and by some the greatest ever. He won the FIFA World Cup 2006 with Italy and became runner up in UEFA European Championship.

He started in Parma in 1995. He soon earned the reputation as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Italy and helped Parma win the Copa Italia, UEFA Cup, and the Supercopa Italiana in 1999. He joined Juventus in 2001. Buffon won Serie A titles in both of his first two seasons at the club and established himself as one of the legends in his position.

With Juve, he won a record 9 Serie A titles, as well as four Coppa Italia titles and 5 Supercopa, he immediately won the Trophee des Champions in his first season with the team with 176 football players of all time, and the most capped European international player ever. Buffon was called up for a record of 5 FIFA World Cup Tournaments.

He became runner up for Ballon d'Or in 2006. He is the first goalkeeper to ever win the Golden Boot Award which pertains to both personality and playing ability. He has at least 1,000 career appearances. In 2006 he won the Yashin Award.

Buffon at the age of 41 is still showing his class and his age is still performing better than most of the young goalkeepers.

The current stars in football have made their constellations, some as the best players or the best young talents or most talents. But this is a bit shy to be In a constellation. N'Golo Kante was born on 29 March 1991 and plays as a defensive midfielder for Chelsea and the France National Team.

He has played for Boulogne, Caen but had his name marked in gold when he helped Leicester City win the 2015-16 Premier League. He then was bought by Chelsea. Kante's brilliant style of playing defensive earned Leicester the title. He was also involved in winning France's World Cup 2018.

He is not only a talented player but also a very polite person and very shy. When France won the World Cup. he asked his fellow teammate N'Nonzi if he could touch the Cup or not. Kante's skill and ability in the pitch will certainly put his name in the list of France's greatest.

David De Gea Quintana, born on 7 November 1990, a Spanish Goalkeeper is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of the present time. He played for Athletico Madrid, where he earned his reputation as a talented goalkeeper. He earned the interest of Real and Red Devils.

The two teams set in a tug of De Gea where United finally won. Since joining United De Gea has made over 300 appearances and won 1 Premier League, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 3 Community Shields, and Matt Busby player of the year, the first player in the history of the award to win it on three successive occasions (tour in total).
